I work with a multiple of canvases at the same time..

I pull out an old unfinished canvas from the racks, dating back seventeen years ago from the States
the structure completely fine...solid, strong and ready.
A challenge to work from where I left off many years ago. Decide to turn the canvas 90 degrees
The dimensions of this older canvas is actually closer to size the client has asked for.
Now both canvases dry over night, just enough to resume tomorrow.
I like how both pieces have started.. a ways to go.. but a great start

collecting fire ash this evening to mix in with pigments.
in my notebook:
ash
wax
more linseed
the smell and the distinct qualities of these mediums, triggers a playful anticipation for tomorrow!
