A beautiful morning in spite of waking up to a loud drive-by speaker.  It's tradition here, this form of advertising.  Announcing fruttas for sale, political events, church events, festivals coming, even the local mechanic will drive around; this is another memory stirred long ago from the Greece years.
Saturday the only day to pick up your pre-roasted chicken.. there is a queue often I am told... SO after our morning coffee we are off on our bikes, only to be told come back "Lundi". 
Schedules here do not exist...


Not sure what plans yet for the weekend.. see what unfolds.  Gallery opening to go to in Lecce Sunday evening, and a space to check out for a November show. We have Giovanni taking us in his new wheels!!  Paola is off to Milano for a five day family event... 


Looking up from my computer; the delightful sight, through the courtyard door, of two elderly women on their bikes, stopping to chat with one another.  They are dressed as if coming from church.  The fact of life here: Old people on Bikes!!  
I am taking this back with me to bike my way around my island!!
